BISHOP J. E. GRAHAM
Senior Pastor & Founder
Bishop Graham is grateful for the opportunity to serve and the valuable experience he gained while under the counsel of the late Bishop Jethro Carpenter. He served his father-in-law (Bishop Jethro Carpenter) faithfully for nearly 12 years, which included the building of a new sanctuary which helped promote communicating the word of God in the community. During that period, he served as Teacher, Superintendent, Deacon and Minister. In 1996 New Covenant Christian Center was birthed and planted in Greensboro by Bishop & Lady Graham and their daughters Joslyn and Chelsea. In 1997 Bishop Graham was installed as Senior Pastor of New Covenant Christian Center, Inc. by Bishop R. Terry and the late Bishop J. Carpenter.
As a God called shepherd Pastor Graham has made it his goal to reach the lost through the love of God. His desire to reach the lost has inspired the members of New Covenant to be a positive and godly influence in their marketplace – the places they live, work, and attend school, as well as their families and friends. Under Pastor Grahams leadership the ministry has founded a vibrant Food Pantry, which is presently feeding the hungry in Greensboro and the surrounding communities.
He attended North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC and later obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Community Justice & Policy in 2011 from Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. He has served as an adjunct chaplain of Moses Cone Health Systems and he is a proud member of “The Elijah Project” where he currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors, a mentoring organization under the leadership of Bishop & Lady George W. Brooks, Former Pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC.
Pastor Graham is married to Co-Pastor Anita C. Graham and to this union they have 3 daughters; Joslyn, Chelsea and Sara. He has proven to be a man of God, a loving husband and father, and a dynamic leader. In addition to all of these things, he is truly a humble servant of the Most High God!
